Thanks guys.....

It was truly an experience, and one I will cherish for a long time to come. It was touch and go when I 1st arrived, I thought I was freaking out Vinne. I actually asked Brian if I should leave, I'm glad I didn't. I was so happy to find a common thread that I could exchange with Vinnie on except for drums. The last thing I wanted to act like was a groupee or a drum geek (even thought I truly am!!). But I can see that Vinne is a good person, and it is sooooo great to meet one of the best and find out he is really a down to earth nice guy. I think I'll post this in the "I'll never forget when I met" so and so link. Hopefully if Vinnie borrows this tape I have on the secret CIA wars, there will be more posts like this one.

Nice story! I had a similar experience at a Brian Bromberg gig in LA. Vinnie and I spoke mostly about faith related issues, politics, and the health of his mother. ...ironically, I ran and got Brian a bottled water. I guess that's the key to breaking the ice. I'd just love to meet one of these guys in a grocery store or Tradrer Joe's!
